Creating the right look and feel for a home involves more than choosing a beautiful window covering. The right solution needs to consider privacy, light control, functionality and how the space will be used every day.
For Blind Time Window Innovations, understanding these requirements and matching homeowners with the right window-treatment solutions is at the heart of what they do.
As specialists in blinds and window treatments, Blind Time offers a comprehensive range of solutions and brings extensive experience in the latest window innovations. The company is also a Blind Designs Blind Professional and has particular expertise in Somfy automation.
For this residential project in Inanda, the homeowner briefed Blind Time to provide blockout roller blinds for the bedrooms.
The solution selected was Blind Designs Surface Block blockout roller blinds in Cliff, providing a clean, neutral finish while delivering the blockout properties required for the bedrooms.
The installation also demonstrates how different operating options can be incorporated into the same home according to the needs of each space.
The main bedroom features automated blinds powered by Somfy Sonesse 28 WireFree RTS motors. The rechargeable, wire-free motor system provides a discreet solution without the need for hard-wiring, while quiet motorised operation adds an extra level of comfort and convenience. The Sonesse 28 WireFree RTS also features a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and is compatible with Somfy's smart-home ecosystem.
The two spare bedrooms feature manually operated roller blinds, providing a simple and practical solution where automation was not required.
A successful window-treatment installation starts well before the blinds are fitted.
As the project's Blind Professional, Blind Time Window Innovations was responsible for interpreting the homeowner's requirements, recommending suitable products and operating systems, and supplying and installing the finished solutions.
Their knowledge of both traditional and automated window treatments allows homeowners to consider the bigger picture - from fabric and colour through to the way each blind will be operated.
This is particularly valuable when combining different solutions within one home. In this project, the result is a consistent aesthetic across the bedrooms, while the functionality has been tailored to the requirements of each room.
The project is a good example of the role a specialist Blind Professional plays in creating a finished window-treatment solution.
By combining quality products with practical advice, accurate specification and professional installation, Blind Time Window Innovations helps homeowners get more from their investment in window coverings.
Whether the requirement is simple manual operation or the added convenience of motorisation, their team can assist with finding a solution suited to the home and the people living in it.
If you're considering new blinds, shutters, curtains or motorised window treatments for your home, Blind Time Window Innovations can help you explore the options and find a solution suited to your space.
